NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A massive crane collapse in Tribeca claimed the life of a man and injured at least three others Friday morning.
Mayor Bill de Blasio said workers were moving the crawler crane into a secure position when it fell around 8:30 a.m. on Worth Street near Church Street. He said a full investigation is underway.
The crane landed on several parked cars, crushing their roofs. Video from the scene shows mangled metal and debris strewn across at least two city blocks.
