SANTA CLARA, Calif. (CBSNewYork) — Social media was split over Coldplay’s performance in the Super Bowl 50 halftime show Sunday night, but Twitter users were largely in agreement about one thing: The British rockers were upstaged by Beyonce and Bruno Mars.
Coldplay opened up the show playing their hit “Viva La Vida” on a brightly colored stage.
Later, Bruno Mars performed “Uptown Funk” before turning the stage — actually the field itself at first — over to Beyonce and her backup dancers.
Coldplay did have its share of fans.
But it seemed as though even more just weren’t feeling it.
