1 Dead, 1 Injured In Brooklyn Double Shooting, Police Say

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A double shooting in Brooklyn has left one person dead and another hospitalized Monday night, police said.

Police told 1010 WINS reports of gunshots were heard shortly before 7 p.m. outside of a home on East 56th Street in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn.

One 33-year-old man was pronounced dead on arrival at Brookdale Hospital after being shot in the face, police said.

A 31-year-old man was taken to Kings County Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back, according to police.

Neither victim has been identified.

Police are investigating the incident. It is unclear whether or not the men knew each other, police said.
