BANGOR, Maine (AP) -- Jameel Warney scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Stony Brook beat Maine 75-56 on Sunday to claim the America East regular-season title.

Warney, a 6-foot-8 senior forward, was 9 of 12 from the field in becoming the third player in America East history to reach 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.

The regular-season championship is the fourth for the Seawolves (23-5, 14-1), all under coach Steve Pikiell, in his 11th season.

Stony Brook, which ends the regular season at home against Vermont on Saturday, bounced back from its only conference loss at Albany on Wednesday that snapped an 18-game winning streak.

Aaron Calixte and Till Gloger scored 11 points each and Ilija Stojiljkovic 10 for the Black Bears (8-10, 4-10), who dropped their sixth straight.
