Police: 2 Men Wanted For Sexually Assaulting 67-Year-Old Woman After Pulling Her Over, Pretending To Be Officers

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- Police are searching for two men they say sexually assaulted a 67-year-old woman after pretending to be law enforcement officers.

The two unidentified men driving a red Camaro signaled for the woman to stop her vehicle on February 29th at about 2:30 a.m. near West 16th Street and Ninth Avenue, according to the police report.

The woman pulled over and the men approached her car and identified themselves as officers, directing her to drive to another location a few blocks away.

The suspects then proceeded to sexually assault her, in addition to stealing her purse, $135, and a tablet, police said. The men then fled the scene and drove away on West 16th Street.

Police are now searching for the getaway vehicle described as a red Camaro with a black soft top.

The first suspect is described as a bald Hispanic man in his forties, 5'10" tall, 220 pounds, wearing a grey t-shirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as a Black man in his forties, 5'10" tall, 210 pounds, wearing a black baseball cap and white jogging suit.
