Adele Fan Injured After Chain Falls From Production Rig At Singer's Concert

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- A woman was injured at an Adele concert after a chain reportedly fell from a lighting rig at her show.

The superstar was performing in Glasgow at a sold out show Friday evening when the chain came down. The victim was taken to the hospital.

Adele later tweeted her apologies and said an investigation is underway.

A spokeswoman for the venue, The SSE Hydro, said the chain hit one person and that the fan was taken to the hospital as a precaution, The Guardian reported.

"We are liaising with the production crew to ascertain what happened. This is all we know at this stage," the spokeswoman said.

The SSE Hyrdo is multi-purpose indoor arena that holds up to 13,000 people.
