Woman Struck, Injured When Bricks Fall From Midtown Building
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A woman was struck and injured when bricks fell from a building in Midtown Monday afternoon.
The bricks fell from the building at 45 W. 34th St. near Fifth Avenue around 4 p.m., Joe Biermann reported from Chopper 2.
The debris fell many stories down, and struck a woman on the sidewalk, officials said.
The woman was rushed to Bellevue Hospital Center in an unknown condition.
Police, fire crews and the Department of Buildings were on the scene late Monday afternoon to determine exactly what the debris was and how it came off.
