Police: Woman Tries To Rob 3 Banks In 10 Minutes In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The search is underway for a woman who police say tried to rob three banks in 10 minutes in the Bronx earlier this month.

Around 1:30 p.m. on May 24, police said the suspect walked into a Chase Bank located at 3775 Riverdale Ave., demanded money from the teller and fled with cash.

About five minutes later, police said the suspect tried to rob another Chase bank located a few blocks away at 5581 Broadway, but the teller did not comply.

She then went over to a Capital One bank on West 231st Street, where the teller also did not comply with her demands, police said.

Police believe the same suspect is wanted in connection with a fourth robbery that occurred on May 19 at a Chase bank, located at 5656 Riverdale Ave.
