NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A man filed a lawsuit against Coney Island Hospital this week, claiming that his wife was accused of using an illegal substance as she lay dying of meningitis.

Matos is filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of his late wife, Grisel Soto.
“If I wanted somebody, my enemy, to go through something and I wanted to watch, that would be the perfect job,” he said.READ MORE: Teen Stabbed To Death After Dutchess County High School Football Game, Former Student Charged
Grisel Soto was in agony, and attorney Sanford Rubenstein said hospital staffers accused her of being high on synthetic marijuana, or K2.

The leadership team at the hospital has been replaced. A spokesman said, “We provide quality, safe care.”
