Reports: Knicks, Vujacic Agree On 1-Year Deal

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Sasha Vujacic is returning to the Knicks to provide depth at shooting guard, according to multiple reports.

As first reported by the New York Post, the Knicks and Vujacic have agreed on a one-year deal worth $1.4 million, the veteran's minimum for players with nine years of experience.

Vujacic, 32, played in 61 games last season, starting 25. He averaged 4.9 points per game.

The Knicks signed free agent Courtney Lee to start at shooting guard and acquired Justin Holiday from the Bulls in the Derrick Rose to provide depth behind Lee. But New York needed another option after Langston Galloway signed with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Having played under Phil Jackson for five-plus seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, Vujacic also has experience in the triangle offense.

According to the Post, Vujacic was also considering offers from two other NBA teams as well as European clubs.
