Police: 84-Year-Old Driver Leaving Burger King Crashes Into Home

NEW CITY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A driver backing out of a Burger King parking lot apparently lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a home in Clarkstown earlier this week, police say.

According to police, an 84-year-old man driving a 2003 Toyota 4-door crashed into a home on Third Street in New City at around 6:20 p.m. on July 12.

Police say the driver lost control of his vehicle when backing out of a spot at the neighboring Burger King.

The driver, as well as the occupants of the affected home were able to leave the scene without injury, police said.

The incident is still under investigation.
