CINCINNATI (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Mets have recalled rookie infielder Matt Reynolds from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Reynolds got the start at shortstop for Monday’s game at Cincinnati.

Reynolds is batting .211 with two homers and 11 RBIs in 37 games with the Mets this season. He hit .264 with two homers and 24 RBIs in 71 games with Las Vegas.

Reynolds was selected in the second round of the 2012 draft out of the University of Arkansas.
