SHIRLEY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A car crashed into a restaurant in Suffolk County on Thursday morning, sparking a fire.

Authorities say the vehicle crashed into the side of a Checkers fast food location on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley at around 8:30 a.m.

The fire was quickly extinguished, CBS2 reported.

The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
