DEER PARK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — A homeowner found the body of man with multiple stab wounds to his chest outside her Long Island home, police said.

The body was discovered Thursday afternoon in the driveway of a two-story home on Old Country Road near Milleridge Drive in Deer Park.

Police believe he was stabbed hours before in a different location and then dumped in the driveway, WCBS 880’s Sophia Hall reported.

The homeowner did not comment.

One neighbor said she couldn’t sleep after the discovery.

“We never had any problems over here, it’s so scary to even think that this is happening,” the neighbor said. “I was so shaken up by it.”

The man has not been identified.

No arrests have been made.

An investigation is ongoing.

The slaying doesn’t appear to be gang-related, police said.
