Boy, 5, Pinned Underneath Minivan In Driveway In Astoria, Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 5-year-old boy was hit by a minivan while playing with a scooter in his driveway in Queens on Saturday morning.
A woman in her 50s was backing out of the shared driveway near 24th Avenue and 24th Street in Astoria around 11 a.m. when she hit the boy with her 2013 Volkswagen, sources said.
The boy was pinned underneath the van for some time before he was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
He is expected to be OK.
The woman is not facing charges.
