WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — Power is almost fully restored after a crash early Thursday morning left thousands of PSE&G customers in the dark in Middlesex County.

Police said around 4:30 a.m., a dump truck struck power lines in Woodbridge at New Brunswick Avenue and South Charles Street.

At one point, nearly 5,300 customers in Woodbridge and Perth Amboy were without power and traffic signals were out in both towns.

It took crews about two hours to restore power to most customers.
