This one is a classic. Right in the heart of midtown Manhattan, you've got the famed bronze gilded statue of Prometheus and The Rink at Rockefeller Center sitting in front of the most famous Christmas tree in the nation. This year, the tree is just shy of 100 feet tall! Before you start bemoaning this photo op, here are a couple fun facts for the Grinches in the crowd.

1. The magnificent lights are powered with the help of hundreds of solar panels located on top of Rockefeller Center.

2. After the holidays, the tree will be milled into lumber with each piece being stamped "Rockefeller Center Tree 2016." The wood will be used by Habitat for Humanity to build a home.
