Boy, 16, Dies After Being Shot In Head Near Hofstra Campus
UNIONDALE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A 16-year-old boy who was shot in the head near the Hofstra University campus Tuesday night has died, police said.
Police said Alexon Moya was standing on Fenimore Avenue in Uniondale when he was shot just before 11:30 p.m.
Authorities were searching for two males who rode off on bicycles.
Police said Moya succumbed to his injuries at Nassau University Medical Center around 7:00 p.m. Friday.
Officials said they believe the shooting may have been gang-related.
The investigation is ongoing.
