NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police are questioning a suspect after two people were stabbed at a building in the East Village.

Police raced to the scene at a building at One Haven Plaza just in time to catch the suspect.

A witness told CBS2 the victims — a man and a woman — live on the 19th floor, and the woman ran out of the elevator of the building naked with stab wounds.

Sources say the suspect lives in the same building as the victims and has a history of emotional problems.

Police have recovered a weapon, but do not yet know what led up to the attack.
