Pilot Reports Close Call With Drone At Newark Liberty
NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- The Federal Aviation Association is investigating after a drone and a passenger jet nearly collided at Newark Liberty Airport.
United Airlines Flight 135 was arriving from Switzerland on Sunday night when the crew of the Boeing 767 reported the drone coming very close about two miles southwest of the airport, CBS2 reported.
The plane landed safely.
