Senate To Begin Debating Fate Of Dreamers & Wall

WASHINGTON (CBSNewYork) -- Immigration issues are up for debate Monday in Washington.

The Senate takes up the issue of the so-called Dreamers, young people brought here illegally as children.

Republicans say they'll use the president's proposal as their starting point. Under his plan, 1.8 million Dreamers would get a chance for citizenship.

In return, Congress would provide $25 billion towards construction of a border wall.
