Chefs Heading To Bocuse d'Or, World's Top Cooking Competition
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Two members of the team competing in the global "culinary Olympics" stopped by CBS2 to show off their techniques in presenting food with a uniquely American flavor.
Ment'or's Matthew Kirkley and Mimi Chen joined CBS2's Andrea Grymes and Cindy Hsu to create radish tartlets, a classic French dish with twist baked close to home.
The pair are part of the team preparing for Bocuse d'Or, the world cooking championship held in Lyon, France, in January 2019. There candidates compete in front of a panel of judges who score on taste, presentation and kitchen organization.
Ment'or BKB Foundation is the leading non-profit organization aimed at inspiring young professionals and preserving the traditions and quality of cuisine in America.
