MONTAUK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – A Long Island man faces murder charges in the death of a man whose body was discovered earlier this month in a park.

Robert Casado, 38, was found unconscious on June 6 in Montauk’s Kirk Park.

He was taken to the hospital with severe head injuries and later died.

Joseph Grippo, 47, was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree murder in his death.

Authorities said the men knew each other and the crime may have been romantically motivated.
