Veteran Journalist Cokie Roberts Dies At 75

WASHINGTON (CBSNewYork) - Veteran journalist and political commentator Cokie Roberts has died.

She passed away in Washington Tuesday of complications from breast cancer.

She covered politics for ABC News and NPR for decades.

She also worked at CBS News and PBS before joining ABC in 1988.

Considered a trailblazer in broadcasting, Roberts went on to win three Emmy awards.

She's survived by her husband, two children and six grandchildren.

She was 75.
