WASHINGTON (CBSNewYork) – Veteran journalist and political commentator Cokie Roberts has died.
She passed away in Washington Tuesday of complications from breast cancer.

She also worked at CBS News and PBS before joining ABC in 1988.

She’s survived by her husband, two children and six grandchildren.
