7 Injured In Washington Heights High Rise Fire

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Flames and black smoke shot out of a 19th floor balcony at a high rise in Washington Heights.

Firefighters say seven people were injured in the fire Friday evening, two of them seriously.

The fire charred the area around several apartments at the building on Audubon Avenue.

FDNY investigators are still searching for clues to how the fire started.
