Man Climbs Up Midtown Traffic Lights, Claims His Perch Until Cops Intervene
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Police in Midtown had to stop a man from sitting on top of lights in an intersection at West 36th Street and Sixth Avenue.
Police say the man climbed a pole and shimmied his way out to the trio of lights, and then just sat there.
It took a while, but police did finally get the man down.
It's believed the man may have been emotionally disturbed.
He was taken to the hospital for a psychological evaluation.
