NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – There was a scare at Kennedy Airport on Tuesday when a bird hit a plane.

American Airlines Flight 45 landed safely at around noon.

The Port Authority says the plane was arriving from Paris and was about to land when it was hit by a bird.

The plane had to do a “go around” before landing without incident.
