NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A woman’s body was pulled from the East River late Monday night.

Police said a passerby saw the body in the water shortly after 11 p.m. near Pier 35 on South Street and called 911.

The NYPD is working to identify the woman.

She is described as 20 to 30 years old.
