5 Families Forced Out After Damaging House Fire In Passaic, N.J.

PASSAIC, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - Five families are out of their homes Monday after a large fire in Passaic, N.J.

Chopper 2 was over Passaic Street around 3:30 p.m. as firefighters worked in the severe heat to get the upper hand on the flames.

The aerial view showed the firefighters pouring water onto what was left of the structure. At least two homes were damaged.

The Red Cross is assisting at least 16 people.

No word on what caused the fire.
