President Trump's Brother Robert Trump Hospitalized In New York

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - President Donald Trump's brother Robert Trump is hospitalized in New York City.

He's said to be very ill.

The White House did not release details about the condition of the 72-year-old.

The president made a trip to the city Friday afternoon to visit his brother at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell.

Streets were blocked off in the area while the president was there.

The president spoke about his brother before he left Washington.

"I have a wonderful brother. We've had a great relationship for a long time, from day one. That's a long time ago. He's in the hospital right now. Hopefully he'll be alright, but he's, he's pretty, he's having a hard time," he said.

President Trump was already in the area for an address to the New York CIty Police Benevolent Association at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey Friday evening.

Robert Trump previously worked for the president as a top executive at the Trump Organization.
