NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Hundreds of Bronx residents were left in the dark Thursday after a transformer fire.

Con Edison said more than 2,800 customers lost power.

The FDNY arrived at Eastchester and Gun Hill roads in Pelham Gardens around 8 p.m.

Video shows a small fire in the area. Traffic lights were also out.

Con Edison says it expects to have power restored to all customers by midnight.
