Reports: Digital Underground Rap Artist Shock G Dies At Age 57

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Well-known rap artist Shock G has reportedly died.

The 57-year-old Brooklyn native was famous for the Digital Underground hit song "The Humpty Dance."

Shock G, whose birth name was Gregory Jacobs, also helped launch Tupac's career.

TMZ reports he was found dead in a Tampa hotel room.
