40 Immigrants Sworn In During Naturalization Ceremony At Lincoln Center

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Wednesday was a day a new group of proud Americans will never forget -- the day they officially became U.S. citizens.

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was on hand for the naturalization ceremony at Lincoln Center.

The secretary led the group as they took their oaths of citizenship at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.

Forty immigrants from 21 countries became U.S. citizens at Wednesday's ceremony.
