Jeans are tricky business. The wrong cut can make your butt look flat, your legs look short, or your style aged. As trends would have it, the current must have cut in denim is The Boyfriend Jean, which is just fine by me because they’re basically the sweatpants of jeans. Loose, comfortable, and if worn correctly super flattering. If you’re looking to get a new pair of boyfriends in your life, check out some of these shops online or in person.

Charlotte Russe has great jeans. I’m serious, and they’re way affordable. When clothes are on the “trendy” side I like to spend as little as possible, which means Charlotte, H&M, and Forever 21. I save my money for classic pieces. Charlotte Russe has boyfriend-style denim in shorts and pants varieties starting at $22 and ranging to $30. Perfectly priced.

If you’re of a curvier nature finding the right fit in denim can be rough. Ann Taylor Loft is all about the Boyfriend Jean right now, and they’re designed to flatter those of us with more to offer in the hip/thigh/butt area. Flattering, but a bit on the pricey side at $79.50.

If money is no object and you’re looking for a pair of Boyfriends to flatter all your assets check out National Jean Company. The dark wash is super slimming, and the cut of these jeans definitely highlights all the right curves while camouflaging the rest. At $235 a pair, make sure your job is secure.

Super Sale

Free People tends to be somewhere between affordable and excessive, but they have great sales and right now they’re offering their (slightly longish) boyfriend jeans for $29.95, down from the original $68. Sale price is available online or in boutiques, but you may be better off at the store as the fit runs a bit large on these.

All Around Good

If there’s one thing that Levi’s knows how to do it’s make denim. So, obviously, they’ve got their own line of Boyfriend Jeans. The price is affordable, at $43, and the fit is reliable with just enough spandex to hug curves and keep their shape without stretching out too much. What else do you want?
