Therapy is the best place for those who like to party. This multi-leveled bar has several fun events, including DJs and drag shows. It can be found in the Midtown/Hell’s Kitchen section of Manhattan and is welcoming to both gay and straight people. Therapy is noted for its inexpensive drinks and unpretentious setting. The crowd tends to be a mix of age levels and the music is equally diverse.

Boxers is the place to be if you’re looking for a gay bar that’s more sports minded. By the city’s standards, it’s a large bar, with two levels and large televisions in almost every spot. Their happy hour is also one of the longest in New York City, so there’s plenty of time to get your drink on.

Industry is a popular go-to spot for the after work scene. It has a nightly happy hour and the interior is large and chic. It was voted the best gay bar by New York Magazine, Village Voice and others. The lively dance floor is Industry’s best asset and part of why it’s such a popular spot.

For something completely different Flaming Saddles is a Wild West-themed gay bar that has country western music and even dancing barkeeps.
