There is a ten-course tasting menu for $150 that offers flavorful dishes, including their signature Ishiyaki TEISUI, which is an impressive king crab and red snapper miso soup boiled with a Mount Fuji stone. For a smaller meal option, people can choose their new “Lite” menu which is a four-course tasting menu for $40.

The brainchild of husband and wife Jenny and Matt Dorsey, this underground Manhattan restaurant hosts monthly seven course dinners with cocktail pairings. With a changing menu some of the dishes that are served, including Japanese yam gnocchi with garlic scape foam, bacon, basil and pomegranate. An award-wining mixologist Matt Dorsey has created drinks that complement the dishes, including the “Olympiad,” made with cachaça, caramelized banana, coffee liqueur and Benedictine.

Opened in 2015, the restaurant has become a popular destination that serves signature Indian food with a creative and fun approach. As people are seated in the brightly-lit and casual restaurant, they can order the Chef’s Table Menu for the table for $62 per person. Offering a personalized selection of a variety of appetizers, curries, naan, rice and kulfi dessert, Babu Ji’s tasting menu is relatively affordable compared to other options.
