Designed for locals and travelers alike, this iPhone app gives you tips from adventure-seekers in NYC and other major cities that you won’t find in any tour guide. From the best dives to the craftiest cocktails, use UrbanDigs to eat and drink your way through any city without rubbing elbows with tourists.


Domino Brooklyn

Does Williamsburg feel like a foreign territory to you? Domino Brooklyn, a web application that can be used by any device that surfs the web (go to, is here to help. Recently-launched Domino is starting out with tips for Williamsburg before expanding to other Kings County nabes.


Cocktail Compass

L Magazine partnered with Cocktail Compass to create this app that tells you which nearby bars are offering happy hour, how far the bars are from you, and how long you have before happy hour runs out. Check out reviews and photos of the bars before you make your decision, and add your own information and tips. And when you’re done with your drinking session, Cocktail Compass offers one-touch cab calling so you can get home safely. Available for the iPhone and Android.

Beer drinkers rejoice–your guide to what’s on tap nearby has made choosing your next brew as easy as flicking your finger.
