Fireman Ed Leads Boomer & Carton In J-E-T-S!

NEW YORK (WFAN/CBS 2) — “Fireman Ed” Anzalone joined Boomer & Carton on Friday morning to lead the WFAN studio in his trademark “J-E-T-S” chant, despite morning show host Craig Carton picking the New England Patriots to win on Sunday.

“I thought [Carton was] definitely going to pick the Jets,” said Fireman Ed. “I don’t know how you go into this game not thinking they’re gonna win the game.”

Anzalone made waves earlier this week on the Boomer & Carton program. “Wherever you go on the road, listen, you’re gonna get it, so that’s the way it works,” Fireman Ed said on Wednesday, to the ire of Patriots fans. “I’m a big boy, I can handle it.”

Jets legend Joe Klecko also joined the program to talk a little Gang Green leading into this Sunday’s game.

“It’s going to be a work-ethic day for the [Jets] defense more than a big-play type day,” said the former defensive lineman.

  1. not a fan says:

Fireman Ed, Jet fans like you are the reason why so many people dislike the Jets

  2. Will says:

Hey Carton you need to let Boomer talk about the Rangers, the show is getting to be too repetitive with the same football talk all the time. This is a sports radio show and believe it or not the Rangers have one of the biggest fan followings in the NHL. New Yorkers love the Rangers and would love to hear Boomers opinions on the team. Also, I believe it would attract new listeners to your show. Let’s go Blueshirts baby.

  3. Devenio says:

Will the Jets do to the Pats what the Giants did to them in the Superbowl? Is 12/21/12 really the end of the world? Does Sarah Palin have the Intellect of a genius?

  4. Ellen says:

    Pats. Pats, Pats.
