Volunteers To Distribute New Posters In Hopes Of Finding Missing College Student Lauren Spierer

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Parents of a missing college student from Westchester are hoping new flyers around their daughter's school will bring new attention to her disappearance.

Indiana University student Lauren Spierer has been missing since June 3. She was last seen walking back to her apartment alone after a night out with friends.

Last week, authorities began searching a nearby landfill in Terre Haute, Indiana looking for clues in the 20-year-old's disappearance.

Before classes resume for the fall semester at Indiana University, volunteers are planning to distribute new missing posters in hopes that new leads or information may come in.

Her parents, Robert and Charlene Spierer, recently unveiled a new missing poster for their daughter.

It shows Spierer smiling with sunglasses perched on the top of her head. Spierer is 4'11", weighs 95 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants and a white top.

The Spierers are set to return to Bloomington this weekend to take part in the event.
