SPCA: Dog Found In Box On Brentwood Road Died Of Blunt Force Trauma

BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — The Suffolk County SPCA is trying to determine who dumped the body of a dog on a Brentwood road last month.

Chief Roy Gross said a witness saw a man in his early to mid 20s dump a red cardboard box on the corner of Brentwood Road and 18th Avenue on Feb. 29.

Gross said the remains of a white, female Pomeranian dog were found inside the box.

The dog had died of blunt force trauma to the back of the head.

“The animal abuse and neglect will not be tolerated in Suffolk County,” Gross said. “We need people to pick up the phone and make that call to stop the abuse and neglect and also, obviously, to bring these people to justice.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the SPCA at 631-382-7722.

When this suspect appears before the judge, I have some sentencing requests, treatment is not one of them.

i’ve got dibs on sentencing suggestions after you jeff. but just to share a couple of ideas: 1) the guilty party “volunteers” to test recalled bungee cords, as tested from the highest point of the verrazano narrows bridge, 2) at low tide they are put in a pit with only their neck & head above the dirt line, just let mother nature do the rest. i’ve got a few other ideas, but can’t give up too many of my treasures.

Oe ofFirst “Fear Factor” shows .. showed an MWD on along-lead as “attacking someone in a bite-suit. This was crap, let the dog off-lead as the lead ireduces the drive of this particular dog on the tv show.

In comparison, for this suspect .. somewhere there is a “handler agressive” bite-trained dog, and this suspect is deserving. OF COURSE he/she will be wearing a bite-suit, and the suit won’t matter much. He/She will still scream, at least in fear.
