Board Chairman Ken Jenkins said that a good government is an open government and that's what the board is seeking.

The road to openness includes a county board Facebook page, a Twitter account and streaming their meetings online on its website.

The board is also going to start using the legislative tracking system Media Track that will allow county residence to search and browse legislation.

Residents will also get to see how their county is spending their money.

Jenkins called it open government in real time.
