Twitter Back To Normal After Being 'Over Capacity' On New Year's Eve

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- If you were trying to get in those last tweets of 2011 Saturday morning, you may have had some trouble.

According to its website, Twitter was over capacity for about an hour and half. The site went down a little after 10:30 a.m. Saturday but was back up and running around noon.

No word on what caused the problem, but when the site was down, a message on its homepage said "Twitter is over capacity.
Please wait a moment and try again."

Twitter said its engineers were working on the problem, according to its Twitter Site Issue page, saying that some users may be experiencing site issues.
