CNET's Sree Sreenivasan Tests New CBS Local 'YourDay' iPad App

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - There's an app for that.

Those words are heard on an almost daily basis. And since there is an app for almost everything these days, CNET's Sree Sreenivasan took the new CBS Local "YourDay" iPad app for a test drive.

Sreenivasan is always scouring the Internet for separate sites about news, weather, traffic, entertainment, and sports. Now, Sreenivasan has the CBS Local Digital Media app which he can customize to prominently feature the sections most important to him.

"One of the things we end up doing a lot is searching around the Web," Sreenivasan said. "The idea that with one click you can get to your radio station, is terrific."

The app isn't just for New York. You can select your city and gain access to local news, weather, traffic, sports in your favorite city.

"You can pull up LA -- there's a drop down menu.," Sreenivasan said. "I can choose my city.  You can also go in there and catch up with the overnight sports... plan out your day"

Sreenivasan said one of his favorite features is the click that will find you hot discounts at the coolest places. "Local offers, you can check that out, if you want to get a deal"

The best deal of all? The app is free!
