Giants Reportedly Sign Mathias Kiwanuka To 3-Year, $21.75 Million Extension
NEW YORK (WFAN) - The Giants have reportedly signed linebacker/defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka to a three-year contract extension through 2015, multiple sources have reported.
The deal is said to be worth $21.75 million, and it includes an $8.5 million signing bonus and $10.95 million guaranteed.
The former first-round pick out of Boston College was entering the final year of a two-year contract that he signed last summer.
Kiwanuka had a career year for the Giants last season, recording a career-high 84 tackles and 3.5 sacks. He also forced a fumble and had an interception.
In his six years as a Giant, the two-time Super Bowl champion has amassed 306 tackles, 27 sacks, eight forced fumbles and three interceptions.
