Laura Schroff Discusses Chance Encounter With NYC Homeless Man In New Book
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - In 1986, Laura Schroff was on her way to work in Manhattan when she noticed a young homeless boy named Maurice Mazyck panhandling.
At first, she walked by. But then she decided to turn around and buy him a meal.
More than 25 years later, this chance encounter has led to a special friendship and the story is chronicled in the book "An Invisible Thread."
The two of them sat down with CBS2's Cindy Hsu.
