They depart from the corner of West 53rd Street and 7th Avenue and $1 from each ticket goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

"Pink does stand out, especially here in New York City. All the buses have been red since their conception," Gray Line's David Chen told Smith.

Gray Line kicked off the program with a $10,000 donation to the foundation.

The pink buses are expected to be seen by millions of people.

"Times Square through 5th Avenue, Empire State Building, Battery Park, Chen told Smith.

The foundation's Myra Biblowit said that's huge.

"Every consumer who sees this bus and may have a family member or be the parent of a daughter will think 'Gee. Maybe there's a role that I can play,'" she said.

She said scientists are getting close to a cure and all that stands in the way is money.
