Congrats To Craig Carton, 2013 Pulse Of The People Award Winner!

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- The committee has spoken: Craig Carton is the man right now!

Carton took home the 2013 Pulse of the People Award on Wednesday, beating out Mets radio man Howie Rose, Knicks beat reporter Frank Isola, WFAN radio partner Boomer Esiason and last year's POTP winner Mike Francesa.

Here's legendary WWE ring announcer Howard Finkel with the call:

Pulse Of The People Announcement

"YEEEESSSSS!" said Carton, now a four-time winner. "That's what I'm talking about. He's back!"

Behind the jubilation, Esiason could be heard complaining about the process: "Oh, shut up! This whole thing is fixed."

Esiason won the award in 2011.

Meanwhile, Carton wouldn't let Boomer's sour grapes ruin his fruit salad.

"That's right, Fink!" said Carton, who released a memoir in 2013 and led the charge for David Wright to start in this year's All-Star Game. "For the fourth time in six years, I have regained now my throne as the Pulse of the People winner. Thank you! What a great year I've had."

Minutes later, paperwork showing Craig's mixed allegiance to the Yankees and Mets was leaked, perhaps in an attempt to derail his 2014 candidacy.

Is it legit? You make the call...
