NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Rap superstar Nicki Minaj received a huge honor from her hometown.

The “Anaconda” singer was given a key to Queens in recognition of her outstanding achievements in music.

The 10-time Grammy nominee posted a picture of the key on her Instagram page and thanked Queens Borough President Melinda Katz for the honor.

The 34-year-old was actually born in Trinidad and Toabgo, but moved to Queens when she was 5 years old.
