Airline To Test Non-Stop Flights From New York To Australia

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Qantas Airlines is planning to start non-stop flights from New York to Australia.

The trip down under would take about 19 hours.

The airline will conduct test flights in October, November and December to see how being on a plane that long affects flight crews and passengers.

If all goes well, regular flights could take off as soon as 2022.
