Festival Ride Gets Stuck In Mid-Air, Traps Children On Staten Island
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – There were some tense moments during a Greek festival on Staten Island – when a ride got stuck and trapped several children high above the ground.
Video taken by witnesses captured firefighters climbing ladders and helping three kids and one adult around 7 p.m. Saturday night.
The festival was at Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church on Richmond Avenue.
It's not known what went wrong with the amusement ride, but everyone on board is said to be OK.
